    Speak to Sharma Ji directly on the phone, on WhatsApp, or at the office in Palampur. Tell him about your son or daughter in your own words — there is no form to wrestle with.

    Profile and kundali recorded

    Education, work, family background, community, expectations, and the birth details for the kundali. Registration is completed at ₹1,100, and the profile enters the active search.

    Every proposal is checked by hand against his own register and his network of families, temples and pandits across the Kangra valley. Nothing is auto-suggested.

    Ashtakoot Guna Milan, Manglik, Nadi and Bhakoot are read first. You are told the score and what it means in plain language — before anyone's time is spent.

36 gunas, read by hand — and explained to you

Any website can print a guna score. Very few can tell you what a failed Bhakoot actually means for two families, or when a Nadi dosh stands cancelled. Sharma Ji reads both charts himself and tells you honestly what he sees — including when he thinks a match should not go ahead.

What is Sharma Rishte?

Sharma Rishte is a personally verified matrimonial service based at Kallu Di Hatti, Bypass Chowk, Palampur, Himachal Pradesh. It is run by Pandit Sahil Sharma, a practising temple priest, who records every profile himself, matches kundalis by hand, and introduces families only after both sides agree. It is not an online portal with self-created profiles.

How is this different from a matrimonial website like Shaadi.com or Jeevansathi?

On a large portal you create your own profile and an algorithm ranks matches for you, with no one verifying what is written. At Sharma Rishte, Pandit Sahil Sharma meets or speaks to each family himself, records the profile, checks the background through local contacts, performs the kundali milan personally, and only then suggests a match. You deal with one person throughout instead of a call centre.

How much does it cost to register with Sharma Rishte?

Registration is a one-time fee of ₹1,100. That covers the sitting with Sharma Ji, your profile and kundali being recorded, and your requirement entering the active search. A completion amount is discussed and mutually agreed only after a rishta is finalised — nothing more is taken upfront.

Do I need to create an online profile?

No. There is no login, no dashboard and no profile for you to build. You speak to Sharma Ji on the phone, on WhatsApp or at the office in Palampur, and he records everything himself. This is deliberate — most of the families we work with are parents who would rather talk than type.

How many gunas out of 36 are needed for marriage?

Traditionally 18 out of 36 gunas is the minimum for a match to be considered. 18 to 24 is treated as acceptable, 25 to 32 as very good, and 33 to 36 as excellent and quite rare. A score below 18 is normally not taken forward without a specific reason. However, the total alone is not the full picture — Nadi, Bhakoot and Manglik positions are read separately.

Will my daughter's or son's photograph be put online?

Never. Photographs, phone numbers and birth details are kept in Sharma Ji's own register and shared only with a family that has been shortlisted, and only after you have agreed. Nothing is published on this website or sold to anyone.
